Our focus is on the use of wood from sustainable forestry, which is why Gebr. Kess Sägewerk GmbH is FSC and PEFC certified. During production, we attach great importance to the origin and obtain our raw materials from certified companies and forestry operations in the immediate vicinity.

Our forest is the basis of life for plants, animals and people. Therefore, the conscious handling of the valuable raw material wood is very important in the Kess company. Wood is THE renewable raw material in Germany. Not only is it infinitely available, since German forestry replants more trees each year than it harvests, it also binds Co2, which is increasingly released during the processing of finite raw materials. This positive effect is extended by using the wood products for as long as possible. In addition, this valuable raw material can be recycled several times.

PEFC and FSC pursue one goal beyond national borders: the worldwide improvement of forest use and forest care. Management is controlled by competent and independent organizations - from the raw material to the ready-to-use end product. By purchasing products that bear the PEFC logo or FSC, everyone can contribute to a healthy environment.
